ABOUT US​
Once Upon A Daycare and Preschool is a locally owned licensed daycare center located in Green. It is owned by Rose (Rosie) Ebner who also owned a previous daycare in Green from 1983 to 1999. We believe in staying current with the child care industry by including technology in teaching, on-line payments, texting, constant communication with parents and a lot of pictures! But most importantly not losing the original principals of child care; love, respect for parents, individual care, and small environments for young children.
After observing at local franchised and corporate centers, Rosie realized these children and families needed a small and personal space with a lot of individual care for both the parents and the children while maintaining very reasonable rates that continue to be substantially lower than current daycare centers.

All teachers at Once Upon A Daycare and Preschool are ECE (Early Childhood Education) career pathway teachers. The teachers either already have their degree in ECE, have a CDA in ECE, or are in school presently to become an ECE teacher.

Our space is always adapting to meet the needs of our children & we have recently expanded to offer a new room for school age students which was designed with the help of our current school age class.  We also now offer a new 784 sq. ft. INDOOR GYM - is is just so fabulous!! Lots of room to run, ride toys and climb!​​​​

Child safety is undeniably our number one priority in our facility.  It starts from the hiring process to consistent evaluations. Our standards are backed with our owner and operators years of experience and availability for contact at any time. Our facility is locked with door bell entrance allowed only to documented and approved guardians of the children.  Our staff is also available with recorded supervision in case any question of endangerment for our children is posed. There is a zero tolerance policy when interfering with the safety of our children.​

Our center provides fresh fruits, fresh or frozen vegetables and Once Upon A Preschool & Daycare provides all meals for your children every day. This includes breakfast, hot lunches and afternoon snacks. The center also knows sometimes we need to feed outside of meal times – we understand that and help make sure your child has a good meal – no matter what time they arrive!!​​​​​
