Curriculum
In our school age program, our children are permitted to do their homework, interact with their peers and create what interests them! Their new space was designed by them with: a karaoke stage, a lego area, a free art space, a cozy corner to chill after school and a playdough area.
Our school agers deserve a shout out here! They respect each other and form lasting friendships. We expect them to be role models for our younger children and they have always stepped up to this challenge!
About Summer!
Summer care is unique in our center - while we do not provide bus driven field trips - we do have several really exciting "walking" field trips. Tuesday is Movie Day - we walk to Interstate 8 and watch a movie at noon! Wednesday is Ice Cream Day - we walk to Strickland's Ice Cream right after lunch and then come back for our movie in the center. Thursday is our picnic walk to Skyway and we have lunch in their back grassy area! The children have movie time during their rest time on Monday and Friday.
Our summer "walking field trips" are limited to children who have already attended school in the past school year. There is also a $65.00 monthly Summer Fun Fee to cover some of these trips.
Summer Lemonade Stand - Our school kids form a company, build their own lemonade stand, make the lemonade and other various snacks to sell and man the stand 2 days a week at pick up time for parents to enjoy lemonade! The students keep the profits and enjoy the event of their choice at the end of summer - they can choose an extra movie day, a pizza party or an ice cream social!

What is important about us and our lunches is that we serve kid friendly meals that our children like and eat very well. We serve plenty of food, a lot of fruits, vegetables, chicken and turkey more often than beef! Your child will enjoy his/her meals with us!
We are always ready to offer a meal outside of "meal time".
Your schedule is busy, & we always make sure your child has a good meal, no matter what time he or she arrives!!
Our daily snacks consist of crackers, cheeses, fruits, 100% fruit juice, pretzels, corn chips, cookies (once in a while, not very often), chips, animal crackers, milk, specialty crackers, goldfish crackers, townhouse crackers, soda oyster crackers, peanut butter, carrots and dip, cucumbers and dip, apple slices, grapes, strawberries, and oranges. We are required to serve a carb and a fruit for snack at all times, our juice is 100% fruit juice.
Child Safety
Child safety is undeniably our number one priority in our facility. It starts from the hiring process to consistent evaluations of the staff. Our facility is locked & allows entrance to only documented and approved guardians of the children. Our staff is also available with recorded supervision in case any question of endangerment for our children is posed. There is a zero tolerance policy when interfering with the safety of our children.
Summer Program Costs
School Age - Summer $285.00 per week + $6.00 Jerzees Lunch Fee (Thursdays)
School Age – Daily Summer Care: $82.50 per day + $6.00 Jerzees Lunch Fee (Thursdays)
School Age – During the school year: $95.00 per week
• School Age AM/PM care is based on the flat rate of $65.00 per week.
• School Age -flat rate is used regardless of the time you use for am/pm care.
• Green School Districts requires the same drop-off and pick-up Monday through Friday at the same location.
• Breakfast – Lunch – Snacks are included in their time here.
• These rates are billed for 50 weeks of the year.
• No changes due to illness or non-attendance.
• The only exception will be for our parents who make other arrangements over the summer due to older children, family situations, or work changes.
• All Full Days of care due to your local school district being closed are charged at our daily rate of $50.00 per day – less the 15.00 you paid for your weekly reserved rate.
• All school age students will be on this new rate in January regardless of previous arrangements, fees, or discounts.
We do allow for flexibility – please discuss with our Administrator your needs.
All meals are included in daily and weekly care.
We do not charge a registration fee.
Due to space limitations and ODJFS licensing rules on student/teacher ratio – your space is reserved with us for your child. Payment is expected for ALL reserved days even if your child does not attend for any reason.
Weekly Reserved rates are paid every week regardless of attendance in that week – as it is a discounted rate for those who attend every day.
We are not a drop-in babysitting service and cannot be used in that manner.
School Age Expansion & Reasonable Rates
o We are here for emergency closings.
Our new expansion is over 1400 square feet for your
school age child to move around, play legos, play electronic pianos, read, play games and do
whatever art work their heart desires!
2 Additional programs we will house here so you no longer must go afterwork!
Gymnastics:
o Our center is paying your enrollment fee of $30.00 per year! Not you!
o Cost is $17.00 per week – paid to provider- not us!
o One class per week – for your age of child!
Soccer Shots & Training:
o Again, our center is paying your enrollment fee of $30.00 per year! Not you!
o Cost is $19.00 per week- paid to provider – not us.
o One class per week per age group – outside when weather permitting or in our big
gym when winter sets in!
